Ella Ede
Executive Director
Ella Ede is a lifelong Alaskan with over 25 years of experience working with the natural resource industries. Her experience includes environmental management, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) analysis, stakeholder engagement with Alaska’s Indigenous people and public relations on large Alaska projects. As the stakeholder engagement manager for Statoil Alaska, she was responsible for social performance, community relations, and communication with external and internal stakeholders. She worked as the environmental project manager for the Pebble Mine Project. Ede also worked in consulting following the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill, managing environmental studies to establish baseline conditions and determine impacts. Ede has a bachelor’s degree from the University of California. She served on the board of directors before stepping into the executive director role for ARE in 2017.
