Naomi Mitchell

Naomi Mitchell has previous experience working with Fairbanks North Star Borough School District’s after school programs in Title 1 schools. Her background is in natural resource, environmental and general education. Mitchell spent over 10 years as an educator, working with students from diverse backgrounds and capabilities. She has a degree in sociology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Her experience in the classroom as well as in the Alaska outdoors teaching about the environment and natural resources is an ideal combination for her position with ARE.
